The San Francisco Junior League's 84th annual fundraiser held at the Fairmont Hotel on March 19 drew over 1,000 people to two runway shows, adding more than $500,000 to its resources to help families in need.
Cox & Kings' sponsored auction item was a trip for two to Argentina's Buenos Aires (Alvear Palace Hotel), the Patagonian Lake District (Llao Llao Hotel) and Iguazu Falls (Iguazu Grand Resort). The prize raised $4600 for the Junior League.
The lively, colorful show hit all the crowd-pleasing notes: kids' clothes, hip-hop dancers, sassy teens and a Wacoal lingerie segment modeled by Junior Leaguers of varying ages.
With its "Through the Looking Glass" theme, the event showcased whimsical table decorations of oversize spheres made of deep red roses and leaves, and a larger-than-life chessboard and pieces; dessert was served in edible dark chocolate teacups.
