Cox & Kings supports the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund with auction item for gala.
A safari to South Africa will be a featured auction item in an upcoming gala benefit fundraiser on April 9, 2010 in Golden Valley, MN. The auction's safari prize for two includes stays at Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger National Park, Singita Lebombo/Sweni in Kruger National Park, The Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town, Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek (Cape Winelands), Airport Sun Intercontinental Johannesburg, and a trip aboard The Blue Train.
The event is set to raise money for the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, honoring the mother of Larry Fitzgerald Jr. a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, and an avid world traveler. He is active in charitable work in the US and abroad. Larry's mother helped found the African American AIDS Task Force and the Circle of Love, an HIV support group.
Anticipated event attendees are current and former NFL players Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Jared Allen, Adrien Peterson, Kurt Warner, Darnell Docket, Anquon Boldin, Minnesota Vikings team members, and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.
