The "visa upon arrival" service at Myanmar's Yangon airport has been put on hold until further notice.
A tourist visa may be applied for directly at either the Yangon or Mandalay airports upon arrival in Myanmar. You will need to provide a valid passport (valid 6 months after departure from Myanmar), 2 passport-sized pictures, USD30 in cash as well as a return air ticket. Proof of sufficient amount of cash to cover the whole stay in Myanmar will also be requested. The visa application form may be obtained in advance and must be submitted together with above mentioned requirements upon arrival at the airport.
Please note that the granting of each traveler's visa is only determined upon arrival in Yangon or Mandalay. For clients using this new procedure, Cox & Kings cannot be held responsible for any nonrefundable fees or travel services if the visa on arrival authorization is rejected by authorities on arrival.
